Usa Air Strength Fitness Testing

The US Air Strength requires new recruits to undergo fitness assessments equally part of the recruitment procedure. Beneath is some information about the fettle requirements and standards. Cess Tests

Previous Standards

A modify to the Air Force Fitness Test protocol was introduced on January 1, 2004. The program replaced the almanac ergo-cycle test that the Air Force used for several years. The new fitness assessment consisted of four areas: body limerick, aerobic fitness (running), push button-ups, and crunches (sit-ups).

During initial entry processing, both men and women are required to pass a Physical Fitness Examination (PFT) that measures cardiovascular endurance, muscular force and endurance and mobility. The examination consists of two-mile run, button-ups, sit-ups.

In addition to initial entry physical fettle requirements, the Air Force has an almanac fitness exam requiring a passing score. The PFT is taken every autumn and spring term while a cadet is enrolled in Us Air Strength ROTC. Cadets in the GMC non on scholarship must attempt the test but practise non have to pass. Scholarship cadets and cadets in the POC, all the same, must pass the exam each fall and spring term. All events must be completed. There is a short rest menstruum between each upshot.

In 2007 the "marginal" category was eliminated, and the examination is now be either laissez passer or fail. Previously, Airmen who scored below 70 on the fitness test failed, and those who scored betwixt seventy and 74.ix received a marginal rating, while Airmen who scored 75 or to a higher place passed.
